Calm. Down.
"I hate it when things heat up." mumbled a voice.
A pale body plopped down in front of the giant tree, leaning back against its sturdy trunk. The night singled her out unintentionally, unable to cloak her white hide. She sighed and closed her eyes. A light drizzle, the only remnant other than the destruction form the storm form a few days ago, rained down slowly and lazily. The moon shone bright and true despite the bad weather, but most of the stars had retreated to hide behind the thin clouds that rolled around.
Phiret always got stressed whenever summer was on its merry way. The heat drove her mad. She would most likely reside in the forest here on the ridge. If she did that she'd let down the new friends she had made back on the island. But what else was she to do? Her body and nerves simply could not handle the heat the isle received in the bright months. She would have to think up an excuse, or leave for good, or something.
But for now she let the cool wisps of spring air wrap around her and cool her off, calming her, singing her a lullaby.
